Looks like the old wolf’s lodge have new owners and they are working hard to make a memorable place. We stayed in cabin 237 a quaint 2 bedroom cabin in the middle of the property. We spoke with one of the owners and he gave us updates on what they been up to, lots of updates but great plans. The cabin has all amenities.. main heater, full kitchen, futon, 2 queen beds and small bathroom. There is a main heater that gets the cabin very warm but u may need a little more in the rooms or leave the doors open, we understood this is a cabin so central heating is not a thing. The area is great for families as there is a large area to play in on premises along with games outside. There are fire pits and hammocks for summer. There is also an indoor playroom with pool and games to hang out in and another area with a full bar, fire place and lounges. They are still working out additions so come with an open mind, it’s more like staying at a friends home rather than a place your just a numbered guest. Friendly people running the area but staff is not at full capacity so be patient and enjoy the area which is ample. It’s also close to the village shops and snow summit. We will be back

“Best place to stay in Big Bear!”

This is the only place I’ll stay in Big Bear. The rooms are rustic but modern, classic but hip. The location is perfect in the heart of the town, and the staff are the best. Frank and Syd and the rest of the crew really work hard so that you enjoy your stay. The bar is awesome too! -Les

The location is pretty convenient. There is a McDonald's, 7-Eleven, and El Pollo Loco very close if you need some comfort food. The location is pretty convenient. There is a McDonald's, 7-Eleven, and El Pollo Loco very close if you need some comfort food. There is a Big 5 next door and the free Big Bear trolley is right in front of Big 5 that can bring you to the resorts, grocery store, and the Village. They have a really large common area for the guests that have a pool table, board games, TVs, a kitchen, and plenty of space to hang out and enjoy time together with friends, family, and other guests. We had one of the Chalet rooms. It was comfortable for the most part with a Queen bed, pull-out couch, and kitchen but our biggest issue was that insulation in the room is not very good so the room was cold in the winter. The bathroom is super cold and taking showers in there may not be the most pleasant for parts of your day. They do provide space heaters though, on top of the main heater in the room. It helps. The best part of the trip though was their staff. They are very friendly and super helpful. Specifically, Natasha went above and beyond and really helped my family and I out on this trip and made the stay and overall trip very memorable.
