Stayed here for a few days when I needed an unexpected place to stay in Singapore. Really great location in the middle of China town in the midst of restaurants, pubs, shops, and a ton of historic buildings. Down the street is a traditional wet market and hawker center with tons of great local eating stalls and street food. I would definitely recommend the hotel not only for the location, but it's clean, safe, quiet, and the staff is really nice and helpful.

If you want a hotel in an authentic area of Singapore than a stay here gives you just that, The rooms are clean and well laid out if a little dark. I didn't really like the idea of walking a few yards to a local bakery for the breakfast but the food offered was so nice I soon got over having to lea… Plus

If you want a hotel in an authentic area of Singapore than a stay here gives you just that, The rooms are clean and well laid out if a little dark. I didn't really like the idea of walking a few yards to a local bakery for the breakfast but the food offered was so nice I soon got over having to leave the hotel for the food, The staff were very friendly and helpful, getting us our room early as we had arrived on a night flight from Dubai and had had little sleep.

We got a good deal on a porch room for one part of our honeymoon and we had a lovely stay. The staff were super helpful and even gave us a fancy scented candle which was nice and unexpected. We got a good deal on a porch room for one part of our honeymoon and we had a lovely stay. The staff were super helpful and even gave us a fancy scented candle which was nice and unexpected. The lift was broken so the manager insisted on carrying our bags up the stairs which was kind. The room was not huge but it's in a really old shophouse building so you can't expect it to be, the porch however was massive and lovely to have a cool drink or coffee out there in the morning. The room had lovely decor and interesting design with a pod style bathroom although the towels were quite poor quality and there weren't any hand towels at all - I should have asked for some but I kept forgetting. Location was fab and the bed was super comfortable. Recommend eating at Potato Head over the way for dinner.

Very pleasant checkin and helpful with local info travelling around and tips Room on 3rd floor , probably about the average size of a small double bedroom in the uk NO window at all , tv , safe ,very small fridge , very small bathroom but clean linen / towels everyday comfy beds , A/C rubbish jus… Plus

Very pleasant checkin and helpful with local info travelling around and tips Room on 3rd floor , probably about the average size of a small double bedroom in the uk NO window at all , tv , safe ,very small fridge , very small bathroom but clean linen / towels everyday comfy beds , A/C rubbish just didn’t go cold NOT recommended for anymore than a 2 night stay max Lift didn’t work the whole time we were there usual poor excuses so carrying cases were an absolute mission up windy stairs We didn’t book this hotel it was done as part of cruise / city stay through a tour company in the uk but I would not choose this hotel come what may !! Plus points were excellent location for china town , bus routes, metro underground , and a nice evening buzz in a young cosmopolitan area in Singapore which helped massively so all was not lost
